A former veteran of the little known 32 squadron, 'The Tojo Busters', A16-211 had the distinction of serving all through the Milne Bay campaign and is shown here after transferring to 2 Sqn in 1943. The Hudson's nose markings, added in the overhaul at Wagga, New South Wales, indicated mast height attacks on a Japanese cruiser and a destroyer respectively. During the former incident, a head-on attack, the cruiser's barrage even included its main 8-in guns. 'The Tojo Busters' retained her black undersurfaces throughout her life which ended after a crash landing at Millingimbi, Northern Territory on 6th May 1943 as a result of enemy action over Taberfane, Aru Islands, Indonesia.
